Radio Citizen’s Robin Njogu Dies

  • Radio Citizen Managing Editor Robin Njogu has passed on.

Njogu died on Tuesday, March 15, at the Aga Khan Hospital where he was undergoing treatment, just days after his mother passed on.

ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs CS Joe Mucheru confirmed Njogu’s demise on his social media platforms, where he also paid his last respects.

“Robin was a consummate journalist and contributed heavily to the development of radio news in the country. Sad loss for his young family, RMS and the media fraternity in the country. May God comfort his family,” he wrote.

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua mourned the deceased as a personal friend whom he had visited in hospital.

“The other day when I visited him at the hospital he was cheerful and getting better…what a sad night,” Mutua stated.

We at Kenyans.co.ke convey our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Njogu, a dedicated journalist who touched the lives of many in the media fraternity.
