Hours after President John Pombe Magufuli was confirmed dead, renowned Bongo singer Rayvanny was the first to release his tribute song Kifo praising the fallen leader. “You have left a mark, memories that will last forever. I don’t think anyone will be able to fill up the void you have left. My heart grieves, we are in such pain. You have done great work. Fare thee well and rest,” said Rayvanny.
Singer Harmonize along with other artistes Wizzy, Ibraah, Anjella, Killy and Cheed also released their 6 minutes song Ahsante Magufuli. This was after Harmonize took to Insta-live to mourn the president while crying on live camera and a section of Tanzanians are not happy with the singer.
Meanwhile, several music stars in Tanzania including Juma Jux, Mario, Zuchu, Christina Shusho, Rayvanny, Mrisho Mpoto, Barnaba Classic, Ben Pol, Belle, Joel Lwaga, Mbosso, Malkia Karen, Lava Lava, Diamond Platnumz, Khadija Kopa, Darassa, Aby Chams, Maarifa, Cyrill Kamikaze, Baba Levo and Hamady Ally hit the studio to record Lala Salama Magufuli. The 10 minutes song was produced by Abbah, Zombie, Rash Don Beats, Mocco Genius and Ayo Lizer.
