It has been blessings after blessings for the female footballer who was captured breastfeeding her little girl during halftime.
Winnie Wangui has been in the limelight for the past week or so after a picture of her lovingly breastfeeding in public surfaced on social media platforms and many well-wishers came forward to give her goodies.
In a Facebook post by Sports journalist Carol Radull, more blessings followed the 23-year-old right into her home after Kenyans of goodwill visited her in Nyandarua and gifted goodies which will ostensibly elevate her life.
To start with, Rware United FC gave her a cheque of KSh 10,000.
A tours and travel company also gave her a lucrative contract to supply the company with monthly Safaricom airtime of between KSh 250,000 to KSh 500,000 and this will greatly raise her commissions.
Additionally, her football team members also received goodies such as cash, sanitary towels, hoodies among others.
A popular betting company also promised the team KSh 500,000 after they open a bank account.
According to previous reports on Mtaa Buzz, when not playing football, Wangui sells Safaricom airtime to make ends meet.
Her story touched many on social media who were encouraged by her selfless actions of ensuring she takes care of her daughter while also representing her team.
Wangui is just one of many mothers who go out of their way to ensure their children are fed no matter the situation in life, incredible!
Sports journalist Carol Radull launched an online search for her and later revealed that she is a 23-year-old single mother identified as Winnie Wangui Kamau.
Radull noted Wangui was taking part in a football match putting Njambini Women vs Karangatha Women.
The tournament, held on Monday, March 8, was part of an International Women’s Day celebration organised by Nyandarua women representative Faith Gitau.
