The legendary film-maker from South Africa Shona Ferguson passed on at noon on the 30th day of July due to covid-19 complications.
The South African was worldly recognized for his productions: The Gift, Igazi, The throne among others.
In 2010, the actor was part of the cast on the historical movie Mrs. Mandela. He later advanced his career after a partnership with Netflix for the series Kings of Joburg in 2020.
The late Producer and film-maker worked together with his wife actress Connie Ferguson In all the Ferguson films production.
He was known to value both his faith and family as he often showed public affection to his only daughter Alicia.
His last post on Instagram 6 days before his passing, had reflected his preparedness to exit the world.
He put out a bible verse from 2 Corinthians 12:9 ‘’He has said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
His death has come as a blow not only for his family but the film industry as a whole.
The Ferguson family confirmed the death news after a press release and requested that the family be allowed time and space to process this painful loss.
