The Harambee Stars began their first residential training session at the Utalii Sports Grounds today, Thursday, September 30, 2021, ahead of their forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification back-to-back matches against Mali.
All local players arrived in camp this morning, with their international counterparts expected to arrive on Thursday evening, with the exception of Abud Omar, Stanley Okumu, Eric Ouma, Richard Odada, and Ismael Gonzalez, who will join the squad in Morocco.
Engin Firat, the head coach of the Harambee Stars, spoke about his first residential training session with the players ahead of the back-to-back 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali.
The Harambee Stars will play Mali away in Morocco on October 7, 2021, before returning home on October 10, 2021. On October 4, 2021, the squad will depart for Morocco.
Kenya is presently in second place with two points, two behind leaders Mali, and equal with Uganda on points.
