ODM leader Raila Odinga was, on Friday, forced to cut short his speech midway while addressing residents in Eldoret.
In a video shared online, Raila was for some minutes forced to cut short his speech to allow the overjoyed residents to calm down. The residents were excited after the ODM leader promised to give every family Ksh 6,000 every month if he is elected the president of the country in the 2022 elections.
The ODM leader, however, continued with speech after the electrified crowd came to a calm.
Raila was given a worth welcome in Eldoret during his first day tour in the Rift Valley region try to spread his Azimio La Umoja agenda.
In his tour in the region, the former Prime Minister engaged held a meeting with leaders from the North and Southern part of the region.
In his tour, Raila was welcome by Elgeyo Marakwet County Governor Alex Tolgos who vowed to rally the Kalenjin community to vote for him in the 2022 General Elections. He governor also promised to vote for him,
