A Kikuyu vernacular singer, Kimani Wa Turraco has released a song demonizing the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga with the intention of convincing Mt Kenya voters not to support his presidential bid.

The song, dubbed ‘Haiwezekani Raila is BIG No’ was released on Sunday, November 7th, and once again seems to propagate ‘Railaphobia’ in Central Mt Kenya, despite Odinga making inroads in the region to popularise his Azimio La Umoja Initiative.

In the video, Kimani Wa Turraco uses snapshot of Raila’s rallies in Nyandarua County to warn voters from supporting the ODM.

“Is there an elder who will come out and warn our people that the direction they are taking will land them in deep hole…What has changed now that we are being told to follow this man when we have always been told to avoid people from the lake-side since they go nuts,” Kimani Wa Turraco sung.

Despite the song, the ODM boss is by no doubt trying to woo the Mt Kenya support base ahead of the 2022 general election.

He has been warmly received in the region as he consolidate his support base ahead of the upcoming polls.
