Deputy President William Ruto says he will not use power brokers in his quest to become Kenya’s fifth president in 2022.
Ruto says Kenyans will elect their leaders from President to MCA next year without fear or favour saying those meeting in hotels and boardrooms seeking endorsements will be in for a rude shock.
The DP spoke when he took his campaign to Homabay and Migori Counties a day after his team was stoned in Kondele, Kisumu County.
He reiterated that his priority next year will be to empower the youth through job creation instead of changing the constitution to create positions for a few.
“We will ensure that we offer them maximum support and protection that will make them generate jobs for millions of our jobless youth,” He said.

Ruto said 4 million youths remain unemployed in the Country yet they have the necessary skills and qualifications.
“We are redesigning our economy through a model that will uplift thousands of jobless youth, farmers and traders,” He said.
Ruto said the Hustler Nation will put Government funds that will sustainably generate employment and uplift small scale traders.
“It is the Boda Boda, Mama Mboga, fishermen, taxi drivers, farmers and other hustlers in Nyatike, Suna West, Awendo, Rongo and across the country who count in our progressive Bottom-Up Economic Model,” Ruto said.
