Kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu has revealed that she usually turns off her television set whenever Deputy President William Ruto is talking.

Speaking on Friday, November 12, in Makueni County during the ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja campaign, the Kitui county chief said she does not stand with William Ruto’s lies dressed as campaign promises.

“I am shocked when I see this guy (William Ruto). I always switch off. When he appears on Citizen TV, I wonder what is this…I switch off until he is done,” said governor Charity Ngilu.

She faulted the deputy president for frustrating President Uhuru’s projects stating that the laptop project for standard one pupil was stalled by the former Eldoret North MP.

“(William) Ruto promised our children laptops, now he wants to offer them wheelbarrows. Doesn’t he know the difference between a laptop and a wheelbarrow?” governor Ngilu posed.

According to her, the initial cost for the Thwake Dam was KSh 13 billion but the deputy president inflated the cost to KSh 39 billion and has since looted the balance.
