AS Saint-Etienne formalized on Monday the return of its former central defender and emblematic captain Loïc Perrin to the club, this time as a sports coordinator within the management. After playing 17 seasons with the Greens, the 36-year-old former player “will work closely with Samuel Rustem, Deputy General Manager in charge of sports activities”, under the direction of Executive Chairman Jean-François Soucasse.
“The man with 470 matches in the Green jersey will be tasked with putting his experience, his perfect knowledge of the club and professional football at the service of Saint-Etienne sports strategy”, can we read in the club’s press release. An appointment that comes the day after the dismissal of coach Claude Puel until further notice.
