Man Spotted Carrying Daughter to School During Public Transport Strike to Get a Brand New Car

A man who was photographed carrying his daughter during the ongoing public transport strike is set to be gifted a car by kind people.

The man was seen walking faster while carrying his daughter in an attempt to get her to school early.

He had no other way of getting his child to school as the strike action that was undertaken by the Ghana Public Road Transport Union (GPRTU) to force the government to reduce the hike in fuel prices.

His photo went viral on social media as many people admired his resilience and hard work.

It has now emerged that a group has decided to buy a brand new car for the hardworking man to assist in his movements from one place to the other.

Kenneth Awotwe Darko, a multimedia journalist announced this on his Twitter handle, @TheKennethDarko, and said:

“Y’all remember this man who has become the poster boy for yesterday’s drivers’ protest as he carried his little girl to school? Well, today a group wants to buy him a CAR. Kindly RT to help us locate him,” he said.

In a similar story, featured a young boy Elvi Bwire who trended online after he was photographed looking at a fellow boy on a poster who had shoes on.

The schoolboy’s photo moved many who pleaded with Bravo Shoes, a Ugandan-based company that took the picture, to find him so that he could get the help that he deserves.

Speaking exclusively to, the chief executive officer of the company, Brian Yesigye Bravo confirmed he finally found him in Luuka District, in Busoga, Eastern Part of Uganda.
