Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz on Thursday, December 9 reminisced about his old days as a rapper.
Through his Instagram page, the musician took fans on a trip down memory lane by sharing a snippet of one of his rap songs dubbed, I Hate You.
Diamond intimated that he released the song 13 years ago featuring singer Hemedy Phd.
“Damn, 13 years back when I used to rap,” he wrote.
Diamond revealed that the song was off his first album, and flawlessly rapped along to it as he drove along a rural road in his home country.
I Hate You was about a woman he was in love with but then she changed, and so did his feelings towards her.
In the song, Diamond praises her beauty as he sings;
“Damn you are beautiful, unapoongea na ku smile napata msisimko, moyo unanidunda nashindwa kusaka pesa (when you talk and smile I get excited, my heart beats faster and I am unable to look for money).”
Diamond recently partnered with Kenyan betting firm, Odi Bets to launch Wasafi Bet targeting the Tanzanian market.
Wasafi Bet website went live on November 22, 2021 and it features sporting events from the popular football leagues in Europe, such as the English Premier League, Italian, and Spanish La Liga.
