Barça: the project of the new Camp Nou approved by the socios

Indeed, with nearly 87.8% of “yes” (10.4% of “no” and 1.8% of blank votes), President Joan Laporta therefore has the approval for the launch of Espai Barça. , including the new Camp Nou (for 2025) and the new Palau (2028), which will include gymnasiums for other sports (basketball, futsal, etc.). The start of work is scheduled for summer 2022, which should cost 1.5 billion euros.

“The number of socios having expressed their voice (48,623, out of the 110,159 over 18 years old and having been socio for more than a year) represents a record”, can we read in the press release of the club, that is to say 44.14% of the possible voters. “It’s a historic day. I would like to thank the members who took part in the vote and were able to demonstrate that we are #PlusQuUnClub. The result validates the decision of the Assembly concerning the financing of Espai Barça ”Laporta said following the results.
