Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga, has received a lot of goodies from business people in preparation for the 2022 General Election.
From a fleet of high-end campaign vehicles, an airplane, personal luxurious rides, designer shoes among others.
On November 19, a tycoon made headlines after acquiring three airplanes including a military jet belonging to Ethiopian forces and offered one to Raila.
The businessman, David Njuguna acquired the airplanes during an auction conducted by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA),

He further supported the former Prime Minister’s presidential bid.
“The cargo one is for business, the jet one is going to be for personal use, and the other one we are going to support Baba (Raila) in his campaigns, we are going to donate one to ODM,” he stated.
On October 1, Raila received a handsome gift from a Nairobi-based businessman to boost his presidential bid.
At Chungwa House, Director of Homeboyz Entertainment, Mike Rabar, and Mombasa-based businessman, Bernard Waore, presented six fully-customised vehicles for his campaign.
The fleet branded with ODM colours has been essential as Raila was spotted touring with them in different parts of the country.
Kenyans.co.ke learnt that Odinga was gifted a new Range Rover in Dubai during the Dubai Expo 2020, the United Arab Emirates on November 4.
He received the gift from a business mogul based in Dubai, whose identity was concealed.
SK Macharia’s Gift
Being an avid supporter of Raila Odinga, the Royal Media Services owner gifted him in various ways. From organising a meeting with the Mount Kenya Foundation to giving him free airtime on his stations.
Their friendship has continued to blossom with SK Macharia gracing Raila’s events just to show support.
Macharia also launched Ramogi TV, a Luo vernacular TV station pundits argued was set to be used to popularise Raila’s presidential ambitions.
The African Union High Representative for Infrastructure and Development was the first interviewee after the station’s launch.
On April 23, Raila got a surprise visit from two young men who gave him a pair of sneakers.
He noted that the gift was special because he was used to receiving goats from the political class.
“No it’s not a goat, but these young gentlemen thought it would be nice for me to have a fresh pair of sneakers! A generally good evening with good company. Hongera boys!” He stated.
Kiambu Governor, James Nyoro, and Nairobi Governor, Ann Kananu Mwenda, also gifted him with goats.
