Linda Oguttu was on Thursday 11th November 2021, appointed to lead the newly formed Football Kenya Federation (FKF) caretaker committee secretariat.

Her appointment came after the Sports Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed, disbanded FKF after its officials failed to account for the funds it has been receiving from the government.

The CS, who had received the audit report on FKF from Sports Registrar Rose Wasike, acted swiftly, naming the caretaker committee.

She formed a committee of about twenty-seven members who will be in charge of the country’s football until a new body is formed by the ministry.

The 15 member committee includes General (Rtd) Moses Oyugi, Fatma Adan, Philip Musyimi, Anthony Isayi, Elisha Kiplagat, and Hassan Haji.

Others are Fredrick Tureisa, Mwangi Muthee, Neddy Atieno, Ali Amour, Titus Kasuve, Richard Omwela, Bobby Ogolla, and JJ Masiga.

Ms. Oguttu will be deputized by Michael Mucheni (secretary), Lorine Nerea Shitubi (Joint Secretary), Caesar Handa, Habo Mwachiro, Edward Rombo, Hiba Hussein, and Gabriel Warigi.

The committee has a six-month mandate to ”clean up the mess” at the FKF.  The move now leaves Nick Mwendwa in a tight balance.
