Eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano ended after more than three months in activity

The volcanic activity of the Cumbre Vieja, on the Spanish island of La Palma, has ended, more than three months after the eruption, announced this Saturday, the director of the Volcanic Emergency Plan for the Canary Islands, Julio Pérez. Experts say it will take several years to clean up and restore the damage done. At least 2,651 houses were destroyed by lava.
