IEBC Advertises for Chiloba’s Replacement: How to Apply

  • The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced the recruitment for Chief Executive Officer to fill in the vacancy that was left after Ezra Chiloba exited from the polls body.

In an advert published by the Commission on Friday, December 24, the electoral body stated that it was looking for a suitable candidate who can assume the role even as the country heads to the polls in less than nine months.

The position of the CEO fell vacant after Chiloba fell out with the commission’s chairperson, Wafula Chebukati, after the disputed 2017 elections. The position is currently held by Hussein Marjan in an acting capacity.
