Samsung began distributing the One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus tablets, the folding Galaxy Fold, introduced in 2019, and more devices from the Galaxy Note line. With this, the South Korean manufacturer completes the list of devices in the Galaxy Z Fold family with Android 12 and follows the fast pace of the update process, despite the initial problems.
The update arrives with a new firmware version and a December 2021 security patch. Check the names of each package:

The distribution of the package happens gradually and segmented by region. In the case of the Galaxy Tab S7, the update for the One UI 4.0 happens exclusively in European countries, the same happens with the Note line and the Galaxy Fold.
However, expanding the scope of the update should happen quickly. Therefore, regardless of where the device was purchased, it is worth keeping an eye out for updates detected by the system. To force a scan, enter Settings > Software Update and wait for the search to complete.
One UI 4.0 arrived with problems
As soon as it was released in a stable version for owners of devices from the Galaxy S21 line, the One UI 4.0 had serious flaws. A compatibility issue with the Google Play system caused widespread bugs in the brand’s devices, enough to make the company suspend the distribution process until the defect was fixed by Google.
About five days later, updates for One UI 4.0 were back in circulation. Samsung wasn’t very clear on the fix or what bugs the lack of compatibility caused, but now is certainly a more interesting time to get Android 12, as this particular flaw is unlikely to happen anymore.
