The DP officially welcomed them to UDA after a meeting at his Karen office attended by former Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, and his Kikuyu counterpart Kimani Ichung’wa.
“Met a group of leaders from Kiambu and Murang’a counties who included aspirants among them Ann Muratha,” the DP wrote.
The outspoken marriage and relationships counsellor-cum-comedian is a plus for Ruto who hopes to tap on her popularity and influence in the region. She will be contesting for the Kiambu County Women Representative seat.
Other leaders include former Ruiru MP, Esther Gathongo, who hopes to recapture her seat in the August 9 General Election.
Aspiring MPs Njenga Murugami, Anthony Maina Wa Maii (Mathioya) and Peter Kihungi (Kangema) were also present.
Nyoro welcomed the four to the Ruto-affiliated party, which has been raiding the vote-rich Mount Kenya.
“Welcome to UDA, Hustler Nation. You are great leaders and karibuni sana as we all take part in taking Kenya forward.
“It is the party for all Kenyans. We are African and Africa is our Business,” the MP wrote.
