An unknown new Xiaomi device has been registered with regulatory bodies 3C and TENAA this Thursday. With the code 2201116SC, it could be a new model for the already launched Redmi Note 11 line, but with a processor that so far has not been used in the series.
As per the listings, the handset comes with the Snapdragon 690 chipset and support for 5G networks. So far, the devices presented in the Redmi Note 11 line bring MediaTek platforms, but global versions of the device can also be launched with Qualcomm components — the Snapdragon 680 should be equipped with the most affordable model in the series, while the Snapdragon 695 would arrive in the Pro variant.
However, the real identity of the 2201116SC remains unknown, as it may still be part of another line, or be an exclusive version for a specific market. In any case, other details of the device include a display with support for a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 5,000 mAh battery and support for 67 W fast charging — all features already present in Redmi Note 11 series devices, which reinforces the possibility to be a new version.

In addition, the certifications also confirmed the presence of NFC for payments and other authentications without the need for touches, and the operating system installed on the device will be Android 12 with the MIUI 13 interface on top.
The device will also have a quadruple set of rear cameras, but the details of the sensors are not yet confirmed – it is possible that it will have the Samsung HM2 of 108 MP, or even the Samsung GW3 of 64 MP, as its main sensor. Auxiliary cameras could include ultrawide with an 8 MP Sony IMX355 sensor, macro with 2 MP OmniVision OV02A and depth detection via a 2 MP sensor.
More details about the device may be known over the next few days. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has already confirmed the presentation of the global version of the Redmi Note 11 for the 26th of January, and it is possible that the device 2201116SC is related to the new releases, considering that its model code indicates a release later this month of January. .
