Liga: Barça humiliates Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium!

Clásico season 2021-2022, episode III. After the first leg in La Liga (2-1 success for Madrid at Camp Nou) and the Spanish Super Cup match (3-2 victory for Casa Blanca after extra time), Real Madrid and FC Barcelona met again this Sunday evening, this time as part of the 29th day of La Liga. Solid leader with 66 units, the Madrid club wanted to consolidate its first place against a Catalan team (4th, 51 pts) which had to win to stay well established in the top 4. Deprived of Benzema, Carlo Ancelotti released his 4-3 -3 with Rodrygo, Valverde and Vinicius up front. Xavi opted for a 4-3-3 also with Dembélé on the right side in particular, and Aubameyang at the forefront. In front of their public, the Merengues started this shock rather well with this off-target shot from Rodrygo (5th) and this parade from Ter Stegen in front of Valverde (7th). But behind, the match was much more complicated for the locals. After a rescue in front of Aubameyang (12th), Courtois came out on top against Dembélé (12th). Torres (18th) and Pedri (24th) also enjoyed but the goal did not come, until the half hour mark when the Madrid lock exploded.

On a superb cross from the right of Dembélé, Aubameyang unlocked the situation with a header (29th, 0-1). The following ? A Barça festival despite a big chance from Vinicius Jr (37th). After the duel lost by Aubemayang (35th), Courtois bowed a second time on a header from Araujo on a corner from “Dembouz” (38th, 0-2). Seeing his team overwhelmed, Carlo Ancelotti made two changes at half-time, but nothing changed. While he was missing at first (46th), Torres drove the point home just behind after a good Catalan action (48th, 0-3). The Merengues were simply taking on water, and the Madrid boat continued to sink. Served by Torres, Aubameyang saw double and the VAR validated his goal (54th, 0-4). Aubameyang (58th), Torres (64th), Dembélé (73rd) or even Depay (78th) missed the opportunity to humiliate this sad Real Madrid. The score did not move and Barça simply slapped the Casa Blanca. With this success, Barça went third in the standings, the team from the Spanish capital remained in the lead.
