This Tuesday evening of the Champions League gave rise to the quarter-final first leg between Manchester City and Atlético Madrid, two teams with diametrically opposed game philosophies. At the Etihad Stadium, it was Pep Guardiola’s Skyblues who finished the match in the lead 1-0, after dominating but whipping against the two defensive lines of five Atlético players.
In a press conference after the meeting, Guardiola had criticized the philosophy of El Cholo, recognizing all the same a defensive solidity foolproof. On his Instagram story, Koke, the captain of the Colchoneros, wanted to react to the Catalan’s remarks by posting a message on which the crest of Atletico appears before the modification of 2017, as well as the legend: “in love with your story since prehistoric times. Proud to be Atléti.”
