Barca act after German fans’ problem at Camp Nou

Thursday evening, FC Barcelona came out of the back door of the quarter-finals of the Europa League by losing against Eintracht Frankfurt (2-3) at Camp Nou. If the Germans surprised on the ground, leading 3-0 until the last minutes, their supporters played an important role in giving voice in the bays of the Catalan enclosure. And for good reason, they were more than 30,000 to attend the demonstration of their team, a higher number than usual for a formation far from its bases. The reason ? Some Barça socios have in fact sold their place to Frankfurt fans. “We had 34,440 tickets for sale, with restrictions as they could not be purchased with German credit cards or with a German IP address. So the club did not sell tickets to the Germans.clarified Joan Laporta this Friday.

The president of the culé club, who said to himself “sad about the result” but also “embarrassed by the large number of German fans at the stadium” also quickly took action to prevent this from happening again. “The tickets will be nominative for the international competitions played by Barça at the Camp Nou. We never wanted to come to this because it disturbs and annoys the members who have a correct conduct”, explained Joan Laporta. It remains to be seen how this news will be received by the main concerned on the Camp Nou side.
