According to DailyMail, Everton coach Frank Lampard is reportedly trying to use his connections within the Chelsea club to try to sign the two Blues midfielders, Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour. The first, a 22-year-old English midfielder, is engaged with the London club until June 2025. This season he was loaned to Crystal Palace with whom he played 39 matches scored eight goals and delivered five assists.
The second, Billy Gilmour, a 20-year-old Scottish central midfielder, played on loan this year at Norwich, where he played 28 matches and delivered two assists. He is contracted with the Blues until June 2023. Lampard’s idea is to make his relations with Stamford Bridge work to succeed in signing these two players whose future at Chelsea is unclear. The former Blues midfielder’s priority would be Conor Gallagher, although that seems complicated as Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel could bring the England international into his squad in pre-season matches.
