Gareth Bale’s update on his future

Free to join the club he wants, Gareth Bale (32), recently offered to Getafe, spoke at a press conference before returning to the Netherlands on Tuesday evening with Wales during of the fourth day of the League of Nations. The opportunity for the Madrid winger to take stock of his future. “My sporting situation? That doesn’t worry me too much. The ideal is to play to be in top form, but I also feel that I will never lose my quality on the ball. The only thing I know is that I’m going on vacation. I didn’t even have time to think about it… (…) Making this decision is going to be extremely important. I have to make sure that I play and that I am as fit as possible. When I arrived in this rally, I was not in good shape at all. I haven’t really watched it all yet. I know the possible destinations, but it’s something that I have to sit down, first of all with my family, and then I have to talk to the managers and the physiotherapists and decide what is best for me..

Relaunched on the recent rumours, Bale thus continued. “Cardiff? I can’t really say. I need time to think about what’s best for me, my family, my kids and hopefully we can work this out over the summer.”. Asked, later, about his years in Madrid, the star of the Dragons wanted to make things clear: “It’s this kind of perception that has influenced me negatively, people think I play a lot of golf and I don’t. People think I get hurt often, but that’s not the case. But that’s in the past. It’s from the past. There have been good times, bad times, but that’s football, these kinds of things happen… Now I have time to think about what I did and above all, leaving Real Madrid, we had a day or two to reflect. I can’t really feel bad after winning five Champions Leagues with Madrid.”.
