Mudavadi Preaches CBC, Hustler Fund in London

  • Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has defended the Competency-Based Curriculum as an important government initiative to improve the quality of education in Kenya. 

    Speaking at the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit in London on Monday, December 5, Mudavadi indicated that the CBC enhances the talents of young people at the early stage. 

    “In Kenya, we are now introducing CBC so that we can enhance the talents of the young people at a very early age and be able to prepare themselves for the future,” Musalia indicated.

    According to the Prime CS, the CBC is an important part of Kenya’s efforts to enhance knowledge transfer and capacity building for the country’s young population. 

    Furthermore, the Prime Cabinet Secretary hailed the Hustler Fund for increasing access to credit by small-scale businessmen in Kenya. 

    “We had the Hustler Fund targeting the very small people through technology, without middlemen,” Mudavadi indicated.

    According to the Prime SC, the Kenya Kwanza government’s flagship program will ensure that everyone in Kenya is able to start and run a business. 

    President William Ruto launched the Hustler Fund on Wednesday, November 30 at the Green Park Terminus in Nairobi.

    Mudavadi is attending the two-day Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit that kicked off in London on Monday, December 5. 

    He is representing President Ruto in the summit that is organized by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council. 

    The conference is expected to look at strategies for a just and secure transition to sustainable energy, food security, and resilience among other things

    Other issues to be discussed during the summit will be health technology and the future of health delivery and green finance.
