I want to thank all the media houses who campaigned against my candidacy for the presidency of Kenya. Through your efforts, I was able to see and understand the opinions of those who disagreed with my campaign and feel the public’s reaction to me.
Your commitment to investigating, reporting and challenging the factual inaccuracies I had been spreading allowed the public to develop an informed opinion on the matters at hand. Similarly, as a media house, you brought to light many of the challenges and issues that our nation faces and raised important questions around my proposed policies.
I have taken a lot from this campaign, and I have learnt to appreciate different angles and to be a better listener. I have also learnt that validity in questions, challenges, and facts should not be overlooked in order to further any particular stance.
I sincerely thank media houses for their efforts and I extend my appreciation to all those who campaigned against me.
