A man killed his elder brother after he found him in a compromising situation with their younger sister aged 17 in Baricho, Kirinyaga County.

Police said Benard Njere 31 who also had an affair with the step-sister, attacked Samuel Irungu 37 using a blunt object on the head face and back.

“A fight ensued and the deceased was hit using a blunt object on the head, face and back and died while undergoing treatment at the Karatina Sub-County hospital,” police said.

According to the detectives who visited the scene of the murder in Chema village, the deceased had some time last year impregnated the step-sister but she lost the baby to stillbirth.

“The murder suspect who escaped from the murder scene is still at large and efforts are being made to arrest and charge him in a court of law,” the DCI said.
