Policeman On The Run After Being Caught On Camera Stealing Money From Invigilators – Eagle News Feed

A junior police officer is on the run after he was caught on video allegedly stealing money from female invigilators at a secondary school in Bomet County.

Officials said the incident happened at Kimulot High School in the Konoin constituency on Monday, December 5.

The officer was caught on CCTV ransacking the handbags of female invigilators.

County police commander Mathews Mangira said the officer allegedly entered a room where the invigilators were keeping their belongings, including phones and other valuables, and ransacked the bags.

The three victims have recorded statements after finding out the cash they had in their handbags could not be traced.

One of them claimed she lost Sh100, another Sh900 and the other Sh300, police said.

The officer had been posted to the school to man the administering Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) by invigilators engaged by the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec).
