Some of the areas the religious leader focuses on include education, environmental responsibility, and socioeconomic development.

“Syedna Saifuddin guides his followers across the globe drawing them closer to their faith, culture, and heritage,” noted the Dawoodi Bohras website.

In addition, he teaches the followers the Islamic values of peace and patriotism while emphasising the need for every member of the Bohra community to be productive citizens who contribute positively to the social fabric of their respective countries.

Saifuddin is the spiritual leader of about five million people in 100 countries.

According to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Saifuddin is in the county at President Ruto’s invitation.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin for the top honours and thank the community for the development work they continue to undertake in our country,” he added.
