Omanyala keeps eating! – Commonwealth champ wins again in France – Capital Sports

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 12 – African 100m record holder Ferdinand Omanyala continued with his impressive indoor form in France, winning his second of three 60m indoor races in France on Saturday night.
Omanyala clocked 6.56secs, a hundredth of a second off his national record set in miweek, as he won at the Accor Arena in Paris.
The Kenyan Commonwealth Games champion beat Arthur Cisse for the second time in a row, the Ivorian finishing second in 6.57secs.
“It was another great performance and I am delighted. The times are really fast and I am happy with what I am doing. It shows that my season has started off well,” Omanyala said.
Omanyala had easily gone through the heats, winning in 6.61secs before stepping up the gas in the final.
He will now prepare for his final race in France, travelling to Lievin for his last indoor race on Wednesday. After that, he flies back home and switches attention to the Athletics Kenya weekend meets where he is set to compete in the Nairobi leg on February 24.
