Missing Ugandan Doctor To Be Buried On Saturday After His Remains Were Taken To Uganda – Eagle News Feed
The Ugandan doctor, who was kidnapped, murdered, and his body retrieved in Kakamega will be buried on February 25, 2023, after his remains were taken to Uganda.
The family of the late Dr. Gedion Simiyu Wamasebu announced a series of events before he will be buried in Nabasa Village, Mbale City.
The former Manafwa District Health Officer was reported missing on February 6 and his body was found in Malava, Kakamega on February 13, 2023.
Various suspects were arrested in the investigation that involved Kenyan and Uganda police.
One of his accomplices, whom the police hold as the main suspect led the law enforcers to where the body was buried on February 10.
The deceased body was exhumed and autopsy and DNA testing were conducted to identify him.
It is believed that the suspected kidnappers killed Wamasebu after they failed to receive a Sh4 million ransom.
