South Africa: More Arrests In WC Arms Cache Discovery – Eagle News Feed

Western Cape police have made more arrests following last week’s discovery of an arms cache
Western Cape police have made more arrests following last week’s discovery of an arms cache in Malmesbury, eNCA reported.
And they are not ruling out more.
According to eNCA, a 62-year-old man was arrested in Tierfontein following a tip-off that led officers to more than 40 firearms, over 40,000 bullets, and gunpowder that had been locked inside a warehouse.
Police also seized two cannons.
Casting a wider net, police managed to make more arrests in the case.
The Malmesbury Crime Prevention Unit cuffed four men – aged between 19 and 40 – on a charge of possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in the Saamstaan and Ilingelethu areas on Sunday.
Police are confident of even more arrests as their investigation unfolds.
