Pipeline too hot for Nairobi Prisons as new volleyball season serves off – Capital Sports

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 25 – Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) women’s league defending champions Kenya Pipeline began their campaign in swashbuckling form when they thrashed Nairobi Prisons in straight sets at the Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.
Paul Gitau’s charges were in no mood to play around, taking the first set 25-13 before winning the second one 25-18.
The prison wardresses put up a bit of a fight, taking the third set to the wire before the Oilers reigned 25-21.
Up and coming giants, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) also began on a high note, dismissing Nairobi Water in straight sets of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-17.
Newcomers Postbank were given a rude welcome to the top flight, losing in straight sets of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-16 to Kenya Defence Forces (KDF
