Swiss School Charging Ksh 16M Fees Seeks Swahili Teacher; How to Apply

  • Institut Le Rosey, a Switzerland-based private boarding school is seeking a Swahili teacher to fill in the position of a private teacher for small groups of mother tongue students.

    Through the school’s website, the institution stated that a teacher with experience in teaching international institutions was preferred for the role. 

    Moreover, it added that interested candidates ought to have a degree, preferably in Swahili language, literature, or philology.

    Other qualifications include having a good command of French and English language and a work permit that is valid in Switzerland.

    The school is one of the World’s most prestigious institutions, educating royalty, aristocracy, celebrities, and world leaders in the past.

    In addition to having a 5 to 1 student-to-teacher ratio, the yearly fee paid by students sums up to Ksh16,701,564. 

    The institution also has two campuses, one in Rolle and another in Gstaad used during the winter, and a camping site at Chyulu in Kenya.

    The school’s facilities include an equestrian center, a sailing center, a golf course, an arts center, and a wellness center.

    The school’s curriculum includes bilingual education, an American high school diploma, and a wide range of extracurricular activities such as sports, arts, music, and social service.

    Further issuing instructions on how to submit applications, Institut Le Rosey stated interested candidates should email their documents including a recent photo and three referees to job(at)rosey(dot)ch. 

    Additionally, interested candidates were instructed to include a cover letter, and a curriculum vitae while submitting their applications. 

    “All candidates must provide proof that they have not been convicted of offences contrary to morality or other offences that could endanger minors,” Institut Le Rosey stated.
