Two men Sunday escaped death after a light aircraft that they had boarded crashed in Baringo County.

The aircraft crashed while preparing to land at the Kampi ya Samaki airstrip, which is close to Lake Baringo, witnesses, and police said.

Lake Baringo conservator Jackson Komen confirmed the incident.

He said the two sustained injuries while the aircraft was badly damaged.

The injured were rushed to hospital.

Police were brought to guard the damaged plane.
