  • Inooro TV, on Saturday, March 18, unveiled new hosts of the Kiririmbi Show following the exit of former host Francis Gachuri, who was appointed the Head of Communications in the Ministry of Interior.

In a video promo released by the station, media personalities Michael Njenga and Wangeci wa Muruiki announced they would take over the show.

“We will delve into the leadership and politics of the country and most importantly what has affected Kenyans,” Njenga stated.

“We will bring you what happened, what is happening and what will happen. Join me and Micheal Njenga, every Sunday from 7p.m to 10p.m for the Kirirmbi Show,” Muruiki announced.

The two spoke while adding wooden blocks to a lit bonfire, a symbolic meaning of the show, with Kiririmbi loosely translating to ‘blazing fire’.

Njenga and Muruiki will lead discussions on the political show. Notably, the duo has previously worked together and were joint hosts for the Ndurumeni show.

Muruiki’s media career spans a decade. She began her career at KenTV limited before joining Nation Media Group as a news reporter.

In 2016, she joined Royal Media Services as a news anchor at Inooro TV. She also doubles as a producer for Citizen TV.

Conversely, Njenga also has an enviable career in the media industry. His first footing was in radio, where he presented with TBN Family Media.

He was promoted to radio manager before moving to RMS as the productions manager in both video and audio sections at Citizen TV.

The veteran journalist then moved to news anchoring and reporting and was part of the 9 p.m. prime-time news team before moving to the sister station, Inooro TV.
