The Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government on Thursday, May 25, unveiled a new hotline for urgent passport processing.
In a statement, the ministry stated that the new system would enable the government to better serve Kenyans by offering quick responses.
Citizens who require urgent passport processing can now reach the government via +254796347902.
Hotlines +254110922064 or +254110923423 can also be used as alternatives.

At the same time, the department can also be reached through email at info@immigration.go.ke.
“The Directorate of Immigration Services wishes to express its commitment to serve Kenyans. In fulfilment of this mandate, we remain open to facilitating urgent passport processing.
“Therefore for urgent passport processing, kindly contact the Immigration department and provide documents showing proof of urgency,” the statement read in part.
Customers can also physically visit the customer care desk or counter 16 or 17 to be assisted with their grievances.
“Working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday,” added the statement.
Previously, the contacts used to reach the department for passport processing were +254 110 923 422, +254 110 923 423, and +254 110 922 065.
On Wednesday, April 5, the Immigration and Citizen Services Principal Secretary (PS) Julius Bitok announced that the government had acquired over 100,000 passport booklets to clear a backlog that sparked an uproar among applicants.
According to the PS, the acquisition was one of the urgent measures implemented to promote efficient service delivery in the immigration department.
“To address delays in the issuance of passports, today we have received printing booklets,” Bitok stated.
