Dozens of people were feared dead after a Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) trailer lost control and rammed into three vehicles including a matatu and a hearse in Mai Mahiu
Photos obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed that the matatu was hit and hurtled down the escarpment, it was lying in an upside-down mode.
The other two vehicles including a hearse collided resulting to injuries to passengers on board.
Well-wishers and rescuers rushed to the scene shortly after the crash happened causing a build-up of traffic.

Witnesses estimated that there were several fatalities from the crash but the actual number is yet to be established as police officers probe the matter.
One family transporting a body of their loved one to Rongo was hit by a double tragedy as the van they were travelling in rolled down the escarpment following the accident.
