How to Apply for Jobs Ruto Unlocked in Germany

Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu on Wednesday outlined to Kenyans a list of websites to visit when seeking to apply for the job opportunities President William Ruto negotiated in Germany .

Speaking during an interview on KTN News on September 18, the PS listed make-it-in-germany.com among websites where Kenyans can find opportunities aligning with their overall career goals.

According to the PS, the website in question is run by the German government and features plenty of genuine opportunities which Kenyans could explore.

She went on to list two more websites including deutschland.de and hub4africa.bayern saying that Kenyans can independently visit without the need for an agent.

Make-it-in-Germany Portal

The website is open and easy to use at a glance. However, being a government run agency it features a number of options you can click on for help.

There are 6 tabs in the landing page with the first one being ‘working in Germany’. Scrolling down you will come across the ‘job listings’ button and sure enough, there are several jobs listed and you can filter the feed to get a specific position.

In fact, there are thousands of jobs listed in different sectors and at the time of writing this article there are 21,351 total jobs on the website.

The website also offers in-depth insight into different topics including; living in Germany, study and vocational training and visa and residence.

Deutschland.de

Although Njogu listed this as a site that can be used to apply for jobs, it becomes quite clear it is more of a testimonial website and a guide of sorts to help people transitioning to working in Germany have an easier time.

When you click on the ‘working’ tab at the top of the landing page, you first come face to face with videos and articles of foreigners already working in Germany giving their testimonials.

“Make it in Germany is the central and official portal for talented professionals from abroad who wish to come and work in Germany. Here they can find all of the information they need: the qualifications that are in demand, how to enter Germany, and which formalities they will need to observe. What is more, our portal also helps employers in Germany to find suitable foreign professionals.” A section of an article on deutschland.de reads.

Hub4africa.bayern

Just like deutschland.de, hub4africa.com does not list job openings. Instead, the site offers several professional courses to help jobseekers.

The site offers courses for people trying to figure out their career path, vocational education, business-savvy entrepreneurs and also for training professionals/teachers.

Opportunities

In a nutshell, of the three websites mentioned by Njogu, only one can be used to directly access job listings even though all of them offer tools to foreign job seekers looking into working and living in Germany.

In her address, Njogu also mentioned Kenyans can work with recruiters whether based in Germany or in Kenya with links to Germany who can be found in the National Employment Authority (NEA) website.
