Bordernation’s President, Abdulai Jalloh, highlighted Khimani’s unmatched creative vision and leadership as key factors in the company’s decision to appoint him. The media powerhouse, which prides itself on crafting world-class content and innovative business solutions, is confident that Khimani’s presence will further elevate its standing in Africa’s competitive media landscape.

This new role places Khimani in charge of steering the creative direction for Bordernation’s projects across Africa. His responsibilities include overseeing content strategies, developing media experiences, and ensuring Bordernation’s creative output remains cutting-edge.

With his keen understanding of Africa’s diverse audiences, Khimani is expected to shape the company’s future, merging creativity with impactful storytelling.

Fareed expressed his excitement about the opportunity to join Bordernation at such a pivotal time. He emphasised the company’s already strong reputation for content creation and media solutions, and looks forward to pushing the boundaries of creativity to fuel its continued growth.

“Bordernation has firmly established itself as a leader in creative media, and I’m eager to contribute to its future success by delivering innovative content that resonates with African audiences,” Khimani remarked.

Khimani’s appointment comes as Bordernation expands its reach across the continent, with a focus on blending creativity with strategic business advisory. The company’s goal is to position itself as a leader in media innovation, a vision that Khimani is expected to lead by curating content that speaks to Africa’s unique cultures and challenges.

The renowned radio figure has been open about his struggles with drinking and drug addiction, describing how it affected his personal life, including his marriage and connection with his children.

Fareed spoke with in April this year about the difficulties he experienced and the lessons he acquired from being raised by an absentee father.

Fareed’s struggle with addiction drove him to seek treatment in South Africa. Despite the challenges, he found courage and inspiration in his children.
