Luxury Company Worth Ksh2.5 Trillion Handpicks Lupita Nyong’o as Brand Ambassador
Kenya’s Oscar award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o was on Tuesday appointed the official brand ambassador of an international fashion company, House of Chanel, which boasts a financial market value estimated at USD15 billion (Ksh2.2 trillion).
Nyong’o shared the news of her appointment noting that it was a great honor for her to be recognised by the fashion brand.
‘’I am deeply honored to share that I am now a global brand ambassador for the House of Chanel,’’ she celebrated.
Nyong’o, who will now feature in fashion campaigns and modeling for the fashion brand, revealed that she had already embarked on her ambassadorial journey after attending a ready-to-wear show event organized by Chanel.

Chanel is a global fashion house famous for its elegance and innovation, particularly in designing women’s wear.
It is also known for its specialisation in making ready-to-wear clothes, jewelry, and perfumes.
Lupita, who is famed for having graced international cinematography after featuring in popular entertainment movies, however, did not disclose the intricate details of the deal.
The Kenyan international Hollywood star will likely be featured in campaigns for Chanel’s fragrances, fashion, and accessories.
She will also be wearing the company’s designs at high-profile events, such as movie premieres and award shows.
Lupita made news in 2014 when she became the first Kenyan to win an Oscar award. She received the Academy Award for her Best Supporting Actress role in the film 12 Years a Slave (2013).
